The Tangle Teezer Review

THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY!
Yes Sunshiners it's the weekend once again and here in California it's absolute chaos with stormy weather, yay!

Today's post is about a little find I discovered at my local Target in the hair brush section. Now I was only going there because I realized I don't own a hair brush so I was planning on just getting one of those cheap nothing fancy hair brushes, but then say the Tangle Teezer brush and literally couldn't decide if I should get it. The reason for my dilema was I had seen about two Youtubers mention it so I knew it was something liked, but I didn't understand it! Yet, there was a British flag on it so I decided what the heck I'll pay the $9.99 and see what this thing is!

The packaging says it's "the original detangling hairbrush" and that is one true statement! This unique hairbrush completely get's rid of your tangles without pulling, hurting, or ripping out your hair. I especially was surprised when it totally brushing right through my teezed chaotic hair without causing me any "ooh" or "ahhhh", just detangled it right then and there! Lately I've had such a problem with brushing my hair because it's a tad worn out from going back blonde so it usually takes 10 minutes to completely brush through it, but the Tangle Teezer is just miraculous! My mouth literally dropped when I first used it and even after washing my hair and brushing through it completely detangles it!

I'm just so excited about it! Also, I think it teezes hair too? Haven't tried that yet, but I'll keep you guys updated if it performs magic doing that as well! Absolutely love love! Will never go back to a normal hair brush again!

Sorry about the hair on it, I just used it and that's why I just couldn't help but posting about it!
Next time you go to Target I highly recommend picking one up and trying it!

Only got four minutes to save the world..

UGH TIME! It goes so fast. It's been three days and everythings due and I've done nothing. Procrastination always gets me.

Here's a quick outfit of the day though! It was very overcast, but usually at work I get really hot so I decided to incorporate some spring in my outfit with my leggins to keep me warm if it happened to be cold. Always prepared!

Also, obsessed with Chvches right now. Too cool for school I swear.

Dress is from Forever21 and my bag I think is from Target because it's the Merona brand-
fyi CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT THIS BAG

Well, why not?

Hello hello my loverly Sunshiners! It's already 6pm here and my day has gone fast! It was really good, got a lot done, may have skipped school .. shhh .. but I just wanted to share with you a new little random rant I filmed about "Why I Hate the Color Red".

I know what you're thinking, "why make a video like that Alexa?" and I respond by saying "why not!" It dawned on me randomly that I really do not like the color red and I could just talk about it for hours so I might as well just talk to you guys about it because then you can see more of my personality and maybe we can relate to eachother with our weirdness! :)

Enjoy and let me know your thoughts on the matter because I may just be the only freak that doesn't like it..

How to Pair Highwaisted Jeans

Goodmorning Sunshiners! It's a new week and a new start! I got home from Disneyland at 1:30 this morning so I'm a tad exhausted, but using this day to get my new room decorated!

I also filmed this video a few days ago about how to pair highwaisted jeans, just some fun outfit ideas since it's such a big trend right now.

Also, when it comes to highwaisted jeans it's very important what kind you get depending on your shape and comfort. The ones I'm wearing from Forever21 are almost legging material and quite thin, although they are very comfy, they show every little imperfection involving your stomach. So I'm not completely in love with them because of that. I also have some from H&M that are much thicker and heavier, but can be uncomfortable at times. I've tried American Apparel's and they just weren't my cup or tea (especially for like $80!!!). One highwaisted type that I honestly think is one of the best is the Disco Pants, they flatter your body, are comfy, and super fun! I know they have some cheaper ones at H&M, but when I had gone there I was too cheap to get them, but honestly I am now scouring every H&M for them. That's how awesome they are and for like $40!

Let me know what you like to pair your highwaisted jeans/shorts/skirts with as well :)

Sunny Sunday

Good afternoon Sunshiners! Just a quick Outfit Of the Day! Well, beginning of the day because I'm off to a dapper outfit for Dapper Day at Disneyland! Woop! But I had a training for work at 6:30 this morning so I sported my new sunflower tunic from Forever21 (yup of course).

Oh and my hairs officially back to blonde, finally! I'll be doing a whole hair post of my process, but yeah super happy and my extensions match magnificent!

What's everyone up to this today?

To Pastel or To Not Pastel?

Hello again sunshiners! Now today's blog is about nothing new to us, the trend of pastels especially since Spring is basically here and every store is getting major pastel garments.

I personally love pastels, they just make me feel lights and cute, like a bunny (weird?). Even pastel nail polish makes me crazy, but I have found that I do not look good in pastel at all. Whether its pastel nails or pastel clothing, it's just not flattering on me. After frustration, I realized because I'm so tan it just doesn't compliment my skin. It truly looks gorgeous on people paler than I, which is completely fine. I do though encourage you to not buy pastel just because its all the rage right now, be true to you and if its not your cup of tea then switch to the amazing floral things coming out!

Just keep being you and don't be like me who buys three pastel shirts and wonders why they look so awful on me.

How do you feel about them?

New York Fashion Week Favs

Okay so I'm not going to lie, I didn't really pay attention to all the fashion week buzz, but after reviewing some of the designs, I have found one my favorites! Also make sure to let me know who you were loving also!

My #1 is Betsey Johnson because she is just like my hero, I swear. Plus I'm a sucker for sequins.

Ah I love being a girl!

It's been a weird one..

Hello hello sunshiners, well its Saturday night and today has been interesting. I work, got my hair done (lighter), got my nails done, went to Sephora (for new foundation, yes NEW) and now I'm winding down and relaxing.

So that was my day, undetailed.

My day detailed consisted of not wearing any make up to work today , yes nothing, because I'm completely out of my DISCONTINUED Clinique foundation  and I was insecure the whole time because my face doesn't have a lot of blemishes or anything, it just gets very red so had to power through that. Then raced to a hair appointment because I have been going back blonde after going dark brown and finally my hair is back! So that was one very good thing today. Then I went with my sister to get my nails done and they are just so amazing, but the owners daughter did it and she was like 12 years old, not exaggerating.

Then I went to Sephora and this wonderful employee completely helped me out and gave me a sample of the Urban Decay Naked foundation just to see if I first like it before I buy it, which I shall be testing tomorrow!

Then I came home and realized I lost my keys so I dumped out my purse on my doorstep, classy. Finally got in and noticed my Society6 Bastille shirt came in, although its a tad big so I don't know if I'm going to send it back for a smaller one.

Anyway, tried eating eggs, veggies, and brown rice, but my sugar tooth was tingling so I raced to not one, but TWO different frozen yogurt shops and they both were very packed and I don't like going in when it's busy, rather quiet and dead. So no froyo. But I decided just to go to Albertsons and get those tiny Dreyers Ice Cream things.

It's just been a different weird day  ..

How was yours?

Obsessed with accent nails. Something fun.

Don't be afraid of some color

Hi Sunshiners! It's finally weekend and of course like most of America, it consists of work! Whatever happened to being in elementary school and looking forward to the weekend because you had 2 full free days, I miss it!

Well, lets stay positive now and on that note I wanted to comment on my love for color! Don't get me wrong, I love the whole all black look, but adding just one color or at least a fun colorful pattern really brightens up the look and makes it stand out. Whether it's a head band, statement necklace, or a cardigan, I try to pair my all black looks with a pop of color! So that's my challenge for you today, incorporate a color into your wardrobe today and you'll see how fun it is! Let me also know in the comments below how you like to bring color to your wardrobe :) Let's get bright ya'll !

Bedroom Inspiration

Hello hello again Sunshiners! It's one beautiful day and I'm feeling very happy yet tired, but I have a big project ahead of me: switching rooms with my sister! Now I just recently moved into the bonus room that had been made into a bedroom, but now my sister wants to switch which means I not only get a bathroom BUT a closet (the bonus room doesn't have a closet so I've been using my moms and I have like a lot of clothes), so now I can really design what I want it to be like and I've needed some inspiration so here's some rooms I found on weheartit.com, hope it inspires you as well :)

Also I'm really obsessed with fun throw pillows to add some personality, found them on society6.com

OH and let me know some of your room ideas as well because I really want to have fun with it!

Stay Home & Feel Bad For Myself Or...

Hello hello sunshiners!

Alright so I have to admit something: I am the queen of canceling plans. Before I hangout with people I always get full of anxiety and then start feeling sick so I always end up canceling. Also, I get nervous about making plans as well, yet I am literally so outgoing than even when I'm nervous I can't stop talking and I can literally talk to anyone and have a full on conversation with them, but when it comes to making plans I absolutely fail.

So after a long day of being extremely exhausted while doing Target and Office Depot errands, I ended up in bed at 5pm. It was a Saturday night that I actually had off for the first time in like forever, but I was already in bed? I did ask two other people to make plans, but they were both busy so of course I gave up and called it a day....

THEN something happened, one of my friends called me and asked if I was working, I nervously said no and she insisted I join her and some other people for dinner. She said I better get out of bed, put some make up on, and get my butt over there. Even though I wanted to say no so bad (I wanted to go it's just my instinct is to always say no because I get scared), but I toughened up and said yes. I am very glad I did too because ya know those days where you feel really lonely and tell yourself "I have no friends", well I realized it's usually my own fault. So it's time to ENJOY AND LIVE MY LIFE. Gonna have to push myself! But I did love my hair, make up, and outfit (even though I got ready super quick) So here's my Outfit Of the Night:

Top: Forever21
Jeggings: H&M
Shoes: Target
Headband: IDK, maybe Forever21
Sweater: Forever21
Necklace & Bracelet: Forever21

Now I'm not a super fan of my camera taking pictures at night, so I particularly didn't like how my face turned out, sorry !

Shopping > Anything Else

Okay shopaholic, raise your hands if you scour the internet each day drooling over all the clothes you wish you could buy or somehow try to calculate a reasonable excuse to buy them.

Don't lie, we all do it! This morning was nothing different, with all the wonderful spring clothes coming out and my new obsession with statement jewelry, I'm finding that my heart and brain say BUY, but my wallet is the negative nelly and saying NO. I just want to win a shopping spree and get a whole new wardrobe, like everything new even the basic sweat pants or socks, I just need the free-ness of being able to get whatever I want. Maybe I'll marry a rich husband ... nah I'm too smart for that. But seriously, it's so hard to just let go of the stress of spending too much money, I literally get a panic attack everytime I shop because I know I can't get everything and that just causes me by the time I get home to have doubt of what I should of bought. So instead of fighting my shopaholic syndrome, I'm going to share some inspiring shopping quotes with you to make my need to shop seem normal. If the mall wasn't so packed on the weekends, I would totally be there by now ...

Happy Saturday to all sunshine-ers <3

P.S. Let me know in the comments below what you're itching to buy right now, my eyes are on those Jeffrey Campbell Platform Sandals from Urban Outfitters ;}
